Island VetCare (Isle of Wight) are looking to recruit a patient focused, motivated and friendly, Veterinary Surgeon.
Island VetCare, is an independent, animal welfare focused, RCVS-accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, with ISFM Gold Standard, RWAF Silver status and Dog Friendly Clinic accreditation.
Our fantastic team consists of 9 vets, 14 qualified Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 2 animal care assistants, pharmacy assistants and support staff. Every member of our team is highly valued and extremely skilled at what they do. We promote a professional and fun atmosphere throughout and enjoy lots of work social events together. The ethos of the practice is low stress for both patients and our staff.
There are separate dog, cat, isolation and recovery wards, a separate cat consult and waiting room, 4 additional consult rooms and two theatres. We are also home to Island Referrals, which provides broad specialist surgical, medical, and ophthalmological services for both internal and external referral cases.
As you can imagine the practice is very well equipped, boasting multiparameter machines at every station, CT, visiting MRI, digital and dental Xray machines, endoscopy, diathermy, ultrasound.
This position would suit somebody looking to work in a high-level environment, with a varied case load, a strong and supportive team and in a clinic built with the patient in mind. New graduates will be considered.
